Lesson details
A big part of your role as a server is taking food and drinks from the kitchen to your tables. This is a vital skill to master because messing it up can swiftly ruin your guests’ dining experiences (especially if a plate of food comes crashing down or you send a tray of glasses flying into somebody’s lap).
On top of that, acing this skill also means your shift runs efficiently and you’re not interrupting anybody else’s workflow.
Young Waiter of the Year Brooke Adey shares her tips for carrying plates and trays like a pro.
