Beatrice Gallo
Sales Manager at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London
Raised by an Italian father and a Spanish mother, Beatrice Gallo was born in Milan and moved to London at the age of six. Beatrice was always surrounded by people with different nationalities and backgrounds, which enabled her to develop empathy and meaningful connections with others easily. A travel-enthusiast and fluent in French, Italian, Spanish, and English, Beatrice has visited more than 40 countries.
Beatrice studied International Relations in French and Spanish at the University of Sussex, England and completed a year abroad at the University of Science Po in Aix-en-Provence, France. Thanks to her father’s job role in the hospitality industry, Beatrice developed a fondness for the industry from a young age. However, it wasn’t until her first summer work experience at the five-star luxury hotel Forte Village, in Sardinia, Spain, that Beatrice realized she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps.
Beatrice started her hospitality journey as a receptionist at The Connaught Hotel, which is part of Maybourne Hotel Group. In 2016, she was nominated to be part of a national and international competition - the AICR - David Campbell Competition, where she was awarded the title of UK Best Receptionist which completely changed her professional life. A year later, she won the title of World’s Best Receptionist, which made her realize that the only obstacle to success is our own mind.
Her open-mindedness, longing for travel, and vast experience in the hospitality industry has led her to become the sales manager in one of the most prestigious hotel chains in the world, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
