One of the younger cocktails you'll find offered on drink menu's is the Espresso Martini. It's believed to have first been shaken up by London bartender Dick Bradsel in the early eighties when he was asked by a famous model to create a drink that would 'wake me up'. Originally dubbed the Vodka Espresso, Dick eventually renamed his drink the Espresso Martini due to the V-shaped glass it was served in. But Dick didn't stop there, he renamed the cocktail again while working at the Pharmacy Bar in Notting Hill. The name? The Pharmaceutical Stimulant.
