It came into the world on the 5th of October 1842 after locals had decided they'd had enough of the poor quality top-fermented beers they were being sold. A young Bavarian brewer took on the challenge of making a better brew and what he created has since become the most widely consumed beer around the world - the golden, easy drinking pilsner!

Skill up with beer expert Kirrily Waldhorn as she shares some insight into this popular style of beer.
