Course details

Food-related medical incidents can escalate quickly and require calm, informed action. In hospitality workplaces, staff must understand allergen risks, recognize symptoms early, and respond safely when a guest becomes ill.

In this online course, you'll learn how allergen exposure and cross-contamination occur, how to recognize and respond to allergic reactions - including life-threatening anaphylaxis - and how to respond when foodborne illness is suspected. You'll also learn how to report incidents correctly to support food safety and legal compliance.
